BLUE EAGLES BEAT CHITIPA UNITED 3-1

Blue Eagles registered their first win in the 2023 TNM Super League by defeating visitors Chitipa United at Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday.

After the first half finished goalless, Blue Eagles broke the deadlock on the 53rd minute and added two more goals before the visitors’ consolation goal on the 81st minute.

Speaking after the match, coach for Blue Eagles, Eliah Kananji, expressed satisfaction with the result, adding he was only concerned with the way his charges conceded a simple goal.

His opposite number, Chitipa United’s McDonald Mtetemera, said his team conceded easy goals while acknowledging moments of brilliance during the game.

He went on to state that he expected 12 points from the four games played, saying he will continue to encourage his team to reach new heights.

In other Super League gsmes on Saturday, Civil Service FC draw 1-1 with Mafco FC while FC Nyasa Big Bullets defeated Moyale 3-1.
