Defending champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have on Wednesday dropped two points against relegation threatened Red Lions in a TNM Super League game that ended in a one-all-draw.

The sloppy boring first half ended goalless at the Balaka Stadium. In the second half, Bullets came a changed side and dominated the first minutes.

Their creative midfielder Patrick Mwaungulu netted his volley; leaving Red Lions goalie Nenani Jowawo helpless.

But the Bullets’ celebration was short-lived as the hosts cancelled the lead through Deus Nkutu’s close range strike that was too powerful for Richard Chimbamba to stop.

This means Bullets are still on top of the league table with 55 points from 26 games.

They are closely being monitored by their arch-rivals, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers on second position with 54 points from 28 games.

In other games, Ekwendeni Hammers has beaten Civo Service United 3-2 while relegated Extreme FC have gone down 0-1 to Kamuzu Barracks.
