Minister of Information and Digitilisation, Moses Kunkuyu, has said government will ensure that Malawi Posts Corporation (MPC) continues to thrive amidst the challenges it is currently facing.
Kunkuyu said this on Wednesday during a familiarisation tour at MPC offices in Blantyre.
He observed that though the postal business, traditionally associated with MPC, has faced challenges in the past decades with the coming of electronic mail and other forms of sharing information, it still continues to survive.
In her remarks, MPC Post Master General, Angel Zangazanga Banda, said the MPC is implementing projects that will ensure growth of the company, citing right sizing as one of the components of their turnaround strategy.
She added that through the Ministry of Information which is their policyholder, there is an implementation plan which will be followed when executing the right sizing process to ensure all stakeholders involved are engaged in the process.
