A Mzimba-based single parent, Brenda Moyo has applauded Moyale Barracks CCAP for a donation of assorted items after she pleaded for support through Times Television.

Moyo, has six children with various physical impairments who she raises on her own after her husband divorced her.

Malawi Defence Force (MDF) CCAP Moderator Chaplain, Major Reverend Andrew Kamponda said the church was touched after learning about the difficulties the woman is going through to raise the six children.

He said the donation was in line with the biblical teaching of lending a hand to the less priveleged.

Receiving the donation, Moyo, a resident of Msuku Village under Traditional Authority Mthwalo, said the materials shall greatly uplift her family in a number of ways.

Village headman for the area, Mtepa Msuku also praised Moyale Barracks for making a difference to his subjects.

The donated materials included maize flour, sugar, clothes, blankets and a sofa set among others.
