Mighty Mukuru Wanderers President Thom Mpinganjira has splashed cash to his players for exhibiting exceptional performance in their TNM Super League game against Silver Strikers on Thursday.

The Nomads won the game 1-0 and each fielded player has pocketed K100 000 while those on the bench have received K50 000 each.

“I am extremely delighted with the win and we must commend the players for putting up a gallant fight,” says Mpinganjira as quoted by the team’s official Facebook page.

Meanwhile, the club’s captain, Stanley Sanudi is delighted by their president’s gesture.

“The President has overtime shown to be our number 1 supporter,” Sanudi said.

Wanderers are 4th on the league’s log table with 22 points, 4 behind the league leaders, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.

Previously, Mpinganjira had threatened to withdraw his sponsorship after the team’s series of defeats; a development that even angered their supporters who stopped the players from boarding club bus.

On Sunday, the Nomads welcome Blue Eagles at Kamuzu Stadium in another thrilling encounter.
