As tears are not dry, still stitching the wounds and nursing bruises of Cyclone Freddy, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri leader and founder of Enlightened Christian Gathering ECG has adopted all eight camps accomodating Cyclone Freddy survivors in Traditional Authority TA Juma in Mulanje West where over 600 households are destitute.
TA Juma is not just one of the worst hit areas in Mulanje but also cut off from any assistance as over 7 bridges have been washed away. Prophet Bushiri therefore said that he has hired a helicopter and he will flew on Monday with a donations.
“I will help the families build back their lives. We will give them households supplies they need and a cash package to start reconstructing their houses,” said Bushiri.
Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for the area, Yusuf Nthenda appeals for more support saying TA Juma’s area has now become an island and hopes that the helicopter will greatly help.
